Quartz Impact Sensors
Quartz, piezoelectric force sensors are durable measurement devices which possess exceptional characteristics for measurement of dynamic force events. Since the measurement signal generated by a quartz force sensor will decay over time, long-term static measurements are not practical. Short-term or quasi-static measurements are possible within certain time limits. The QFG 200 utilizes quartzsensing crystals to convert the applied force into a proportional, electrical measurement signal. Applications include: Drop and impact testing, fatigue testing, and material fracture testing, to name a few.
