LVDT Displacement Transducers
Leer más...
The basic design of an LVDT comprises a primary coil winding and two identical secondary windings on a common bobbin, and a moveable magnetic core. The primary winding of the LVDT is excited with a low voltage AC supply. The two secondary windings are connected so that their combined output represents the difference in the voltage induced into them. With the armature in the central position, the output is zero.…
LVDTs
These transducers are for displacement/position measurement. This transducer uses the Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) principle which means that it is probably the most robust and reliable position sensor type available. The strength of the LVDT sensor's principle is that there is no electrical contact across the transducer position sensing element which, for the user of the sensor, means clean data, infinite resolution and a very long life.
Cooper offers two types of LVDT’s, both AC/AC and DC/DC versions. These units can be purchased with either unguided, captive or spring return armature. Our DC to DC LVDT transducer has all of the benefits of the LVDT sensor principle with the added convenience of built-in LVDT electronics enabling a DC supply and DC output.
