MECHANICAL FORCE GAGES AND DYNAMOMETERS

Our line of mechanical (dial indicator) force gages are best suited where an inexpensive gage is needed or a digital display is not required. The mechanical gages typically provide less accuracy and have fewer features than a mechanical force gage. Dynamometers are typically used for weighing or material handling applications where knowing the weight of an item being lifted is critical. Mechanical dynamometers may be less expensive than electronic ones or should be used where an electronic gage is not desirable.

FB & PS Mechanical Force Gages

The FB and PS are designed with a cast aluminum housing and are rugged enough to withstand industrial environments, yet remain accurate to ±0.3% (FB) or ±0.2% (PS). The FB and PS come as complete kits with carrying case, five measuring tips, and an extension rod. The ergonomic design makes it ideal for hand held use, or the gages can be mounted on a test fixture by way of four M3PO.5 threaded holes located on the rear side of the gage (English threaded adaptors available). A Zero-Tare ring allows the user to zero the gage to compensate for measuring adapter and changes in the measuring position. The FB also offers a real time/peak hold selector switch which allows you to observe transients or capture peaks.
