Our line of mechanical (dial indicator) force gages are best suited where an inexpensive gage is needed or a digital display is not required. The mechanical gages typically provide less accuracy and have fewer features than a mechanical force gage. Dynamometers are typically used for weighing or material handling applications where knowing the weight of an item being lifted is critical. Mechanical dynamometers may be less expensive than electronic ones or should be used where an electronic gage is not desirable.

AP 30001 Mechanical Crane Scale

The AP 30001 is a mechanical crane scale designed to handle loads of up to 50,000 lbs. This unit utilizes a specially designed alloy steel beam that translates force to pounds. The full scale readings result from a beam deflection of only 0.026". The pinion and sector gears are cut from stainless steel and hardened aluminum, which greatly reduces friction and wear. The pinion gear, sector gear and shafts are mounted in precision aircraft bearings. Permanently sealed against dust and dirt. Oiling is never required. Anti-parallax dial and pointer make the AP 3001 easy to read at any angle. The maximum indicator remains in position to indicate peak load point after the load is removed.
